Speaking at the GDPR & PSD2 Forum | Salt Edge

Salt Edge Inc. will be showcasing how banks can become PSD2 compliant in the span of a month at the “PSD2 & GDPR Forum” on the 19-20th of February, at Park Plaza Victoria in Amsterdam.

February 14th, 2018 – Salt Edge is happy to announce that its Business Development Officer, Lisa Terziman-Gutu, will be representing the company at the first ever combined forum on PSD2 and GDPR, as one of the leading Speakers.  During the first day the invited speakers will be holding introductory panels on the Revised Payment Services Directory, what is its current state, what are the best practices from the industry leaders, and what innovative services can banks offer to go beyond minimal PSD2 compliance. At 12:50 PM, Lisa Terziman-Gutu will showcase Priora PSD2 Solution, which helps small and medium banks to become compliant with the regulation in the span of a couple of months: from TPP communication channels, pre-verification, on-boarding set up to Strong Customer Authentications, Customer Consents Management and a Monitoring Dashboard for Banks. “There’s a lot of buildup surrounding PSD2 and GDPR, with the deadlines of both regulations looming closer each day. Salt Edge enables banks not only to become compliant with minimal financial and time resources but to also build the basis of interconnections and inter-collaborations with FinTechs in the financial space. Connections, which if capitalized upon can provide new and better services for customers,” said Lisa Terziman-Gutu, Business Development EMEA. The second day will begin with an introduction to the General Data Protection Regulation, what are its prerequisites, and which sectors will its implementation affect the most. It will continue with debates on whether the GDPR is the strictest data privacy law in the world and what are the consequences, risks, and penalties for non-compliance with the GDPR. What makes this forum so special is that it shines the light on two major regulations which, even though they have a number of similarities, are different. One is focused on raising the competition between banks and other entities, especially AISPs and PISPs, while the other aims to strengthen and consolidate data protection for all individuals. In short, it’s a battle of Data Sharing and Data Protection. The impression that the collision course on which these regulations are set, is bound to cause a lack of clarity and misinterpretation. Hence, the primary aim of this forum is to clear misunderstanding and confusion, while discussing possible solution of becoming compliant with both.
